Le 5 mai a eu lieu la journée mondiale pour l’hygiène des mains. L’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS) a organisé comme chaque année sa campagne de sensibilisation « Save Lives – Clean your hands » (Sauvez des vies – Lavez-vous les mains), en mettant en avant le fait que l’hygiène des mains permet de sauver des millions de vies chaque année. Après la pandémie de Covid-19, l’OMS veut se saisir de cette opportunité pour combler les lacunes en prévention et contrôle des infections, notamment au sujet de l’hygiène des mains.
La campagne a pour objectifs :
- De renforcer les connaissances et l’empowerment (autonomisation) des communautés d’acteurs de la santé pour leur donner les moyens d’accélérer les actions visant à améliorer l’hygiène des mains et la prévention et le contrôle des infections sur les lieux de soins.
- De favoriser la collaboration entre les personnes (professionnels et patients) et les organisations pour tendre vers l’objectif commun de minimisation du risque d’infections et de développement de résistance aux antimicrobiens.
La page dédiée de l’OMS propose divers outils, et notamment des affiches, chiffres marquants et documents synthétiques sur l’hygiène des mains.
La Mission nationale MATIS met également à disposition de nombreux outils sur ce sujet, en plus de relayer les éléments de l’OMS.
La Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) vient de mettre en ligne sa page pour l’expérimentation du questionnaire sur l’hygiène des mains dont le lancement est prévu le 22 mai. Il permettra de développer un indicateur de qualité et de sécurité des soins (IQSS) à partir d’un questionnaire d’expérience patient sur l’hygiène des mains. L’implication du patient dans l’évaluation de cette pratique contribuera à son amélioration.
Le Centre européen de prévention et de contrôle des maladies (ECDC) signale des niveaux plus élevés de résistance aux antimicrobiens (AMR) dans les régions du sud et de l’est de l’Europe que dans les régions du nord et de l’ouest dans un son rapport annuel sur la surveillance de la résistance aux antimicrobiens en Europe, publié conjointement avec l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS) le 14 avril dernier. Il fait aussi état de l’augmentation des espèces d’Acinetobacter résistantes aux antibiotiques à large spectre (carbapénèmes). Il faudra donc intensifier les efforts pour lutter contre ces résistances avant qu’elles ne deviennent endémiques. Concernant la surveillance, en 2021, davantage de pays et laboratoires ont communiqué des données aux réseaux de surveillance dédiés, mais 16% indiquaient recueillir des données uniquement au niveau local, sans approche standardisée de collecte de données.
L’Agence Nationale de Sécurité des médicaments et des produits de santé (ANSM) a créé, en partenariat avec le Health Data Hub, une plateforme ouverte au public qui permet de consulter des informations et des données chiffrées sur l’historique des déclarations de pharmacovigilance et de ruptures de stocks de médicaments depuis 2014.
