The job is part of a research project funded by the Walloon Region (GutTransit Project) for which the Food Quality Management laboratory of the FARAH research center is a partner, in collaboration with UCLouvain and the companies Ortis (project coordinator), Synago and Lacto Research. The overall objective of the GutTransit project is to optimally combine the industrial and scientific contributions of partners to study the effectiveness of products developed by manufacturers in order to maintain the balance of the intestinal microbiota. The tasks for FARAH will consist of characterizing the effects of different food supplements on the quality of intestinal microbiota using in vitro models. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out the tasks involving FARAH and will interact with the other partners of the project. The work will be done in a BSL2 + experimental laboratory and will be mainly based in Liège.
