Le Laboratoire de Bactériologie de l’Hôpital Universitaire de Saint Louis à Paris assure les examens de Bactériologie pour l’hôpital St Louis (SLS) et Lariboisière (LRB). Les sites SLS/ LRB drainent une grande diversité de pathologies infectieuses du fait de l’association de pathologies de diagnostic difficile chez les patients immunodéprimés (SLS) et de pathologies communautaires (LRB) et reçoit les prélèvements de 5 réanimations.
Le service fusionné bi-site SLS-LRB représente une activité proche de 340 000 actes (800 dossiers de bactériologie/jours). Il est équipé d’un système d’ensemencement automatisé Wasplab avec étuves intelligentes et une intelligence artificielle embarquée.
Parallèlement à une grande diversité de prélèvement, le laboratoire est expert en IST bactériennes (LA-CNR IST bactériennes), en Infections Ostéo-Articulaires et Infections des patients brûlés. Il est affilié à l’UMR1137–INSERM-Infection, Antimicrobiens, Modélisation, Evolution (IAME) https://www.iame-research.center.
L’équipe médicale est composée d’un PU-PH, 2 MCU-PH, 1 AHU, 1 PH, 1 PHC, 2 assistant sp et 1 praticien attaché. L’équipe est en lien avec les ingénieurs et la bioinformaticienne du CNR.
Les biologistes seniors du service ont la responsabilité tournante de différents secteurs de validation au niveau du plateau technique situé à St Louis.
