Pathogénie microbienne

La section pathogénie microbienne cherche à comprendre les stratégies de virulence utilisées par les microorganismes pathogènes lors d’une infection que ce soit chez l’Homme, les animaux ou les plantes. Notre objectif avec ce nouveau bureau est de poursuivre et amplifier ce que nous avons initié ces dernières années et d’augmenter la visibilité internationale de la recherche sur la pathogénie microbienne, au-delà des pathogènes humains. Nous voulons créer un environnement dynamique pour promouvoir les dernières avancées dans l’étude de la pathogénie microbienne en France, en s’assurant que les laboratoires qui étudient les interactions hôtes pathogènes par des approches cellulaires et moléculaires soient représentés. Notre objectif sera également de rendre la section attractive pour les doctorants et postdoctorants et de soutenir et promouvoir de jeunes talents. Nous souhaitons renforcer les collaborations et réseaux entre recherche fondamental et recherche clinique, ainsi que l’axe Nord/Sud avec un souci de la parité et d’inclusivité.

The Microbial Pathogenesis section seeks to understand the virulence strategies used by pathogenic microorganisms during infection in humans, animals and plants. Our goal with this new board is to continue and amplify what we have initiated in the last years and to increase the international visibility of research on microbial pathogenesis, beyond human pathogens. We want to create a dynamic framework to promote the latest advances in the study of microbial pathogenesis in France, ensuring that laboratories that study host-pathogen interactions using cellular and molecular approaches are represented. Our objective will also be to make the section attractive for PhD students and postdocs and to support and promote young talents. We wish to strengthen collaborations and networks between basic and clinical research, as well as the North/South axis with a concern for parity, diversity and inclusiveness.
